“She enjoys cooking, plaid and a certain “joie de vivre” that one gets from drinking a sophisticated cocktail in an evening gown sitting on a log by the sea…”

Artist Statement:
I started making earrings for my friends in high school as gifts and this tradition continued through college, my mother accruing the largest collection. Always in need of a creative outlet, I’ve pursued this medium most strongly because I find it so satisfying to see your work through to a wearable piece of art. Over the course of my time experimenting with wire-working techniques I’ve been able to teach myself a lot from examining the structure of pieces I find at craft fairs and online. The pieces I create are inspired by many different venues; mythology, nature, literature, and people close to me. Simple organic forms, color combinations and texture stand out to me. The content and meaning behind my work is really important to my designs. Most of the time I use beads and wire but have recently begun working with sheet silver. I enjoy creating custom pieces that I feel reflect some aspect of the person who will be wearing it.
Eventually I hope to have some original pieces for sale but in the meantime I am more than happy to take custom orders or make pieces to match a set (ex: earrings for a necklace). Please browse the gallery and feel free to contact me with questions or requests!
Jewelry Experience:
1998-2002: The hobby begins, as making gifts proves to be more fun and less expensive than buying them.
2004: Dad buys me my first set of clippers and pliers so I can stop borrowing his.
2006: My love affair with Precious Metal Clay begins after a visit with Barb Fernald.
2008: Jewelry Metalsmithing course at MassArt with Dan Jocz.

Where can I see your jewelry? And, you go to Islesford??? LCI? Me too.
